Traveling to Hill Regions During Ramadan: A Peaceful Experience

Published

on

During Ramadan, people might reflect, find serenity, and strengthen their spiritual ties. It may seem difficult to travel during this holy month, but discovering a tranquil hill country like Bandarban made the trip very memorable. The ideal conditions for a tranquil journey were the clean air, stunning scenery, and serene surroundings.

1. The Adventure Begins

I took a night bus to begin my journey from Chattogram to Bandarban.

Because there were fewer passengers during Ramadan, the trip went smoothly.

A mysterious mood was produced by the mist that covered the hills in the early morning.

2. Examining Bandarban’s Beauty

Nilachal: A stunning vantage point with clouds drifting beneath it.

Meghla Tourist Complex: A serene location featuring a suspension bridge and a lake.

Boga Lake is a captivating natural lake that is encircled by hills.

One of Bangladesh’s highest reachable peaks is Chimbuk Hill.

Buddha Dhatu Jadi’s Golden Temple is a beautiful Buddhist temple with a serene atmosphere.

3. Experience with Iftar and Suhoor

enjoyed iftar, which included coconut water, bananas, dates, and regional rice cakes.

tried the tasty indigenous dish known as bamboo chicken.

In a tiny café on a hill, I sipped warm honey lemon tea while taking in the evening breeze.

Since it was hard to obtain food in isolated places, I packed water and snacks for Suhoor.

4. Difficulties During Ramadan Travel

It was exhausting to climb steep slopes while fasting.

Hiking was more difficult in the midday light, so I scheduled my activities for the early morning or evening.

I brought necessities because there were few food options in isolated places.

In certain locations, there was no network, which made communication challenging.

5. A sense of spiritual connection and a closer relationship with nature

Nilachal was a serene and divine place to watch the sunset.

The hills’ seclusion facilitated prayer and introspection.

It was a spiritually enlightening experience to pray in the mountains beneath the open sky.

The rustle of leaves and the murmur of birds seemed to be nature’s own soothing tune.

Concluding remarks

During Ramadan, visiting a hilly area was a serene, revitalising, and spiritual experience. Notwithstanding several difficulties, the serene setting, the connection to the natural world, and the splendour of nature made it an absolutely remarkable experience. A vacation to the hills may be the ideal option for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat during the month of Ramadan!
